Renovation: Integrated building automation in Brenners Park-Hotel & Spa

Newsletter

A new control system using BACnet and our components was integrated into the existing heterogeneous building automation of the legendary Grandhotel in Baden-Baden. As an integration platform, OAS provided the BACnet-compliant Niagara controllers "OAS SBS JACE8 N4 IoT" from its Smart Building Solutions series. The BACnet standard played a crucial role in the project.

Brenners Park-Hotel & Spa is a luxury five-star hotel operated by the Oetker Hotel Group in Germany. The luxury hotel in Baden-Baden, acquired by the Oetker family in 1941, offers guests 104 hotel rooms and lavish suites, three restaurants, and a lavish spa area in the adjacent Villa Stéphanie.

In order to maintain the highest standards for their guests, the building services were kept discreetly à jour at all times. The final missing element to achieve the highest quality standards was a homogeneous Building Management System (BMS) with clearly arranged 3D navigation and modern IoT connectivity.

The "PGA Gesellschaft für Prozess- und Gebäudeautomatisierungstechnik" was commissioned with its integration. The heterogeneous building controls were to be integrated across systems onto a uniform BMS platform with 3D WEB visualization. Thus, the modern IoT and digitalization concept was integrated into the existing setup. The existing systems were homogenized with the newly developed OAS-BACnet® utilities based on the Niagara Framework® on the uniform management level.
