OAS Niagara plant macros: Save costs during project planning and commissioning

Newsletter

The new plant macros "OAS-MACs" are ready-to-use with Niagara 4-based software modules. They are used, for example, for the automation of ventilation systems. The collection of OAS-MACs is used in building services’ applications with Niagara 4 controllers, such as the JACE®-8000. It is available for OAS partners after an extensive training.

We provide to our OAS partners this extensive collection of function blocks as plant macros. Many typical building services applications are already programmed. A software application for a complex plant is created by only putting together and configuring the individual function blocks, the "OAS MACs", for example by assigning the data points and system parameters. The slots, meaning the connections of the function blocks, automatically connect to the correct slots of other function blocks as well as the physical inputs and outputs. The finished application can then be commissioned.

This eliminates the need for time-consuming programming, as is required in conventional systems. It leads to significant cost savings in the project planning and commissioning of the system. The software application created in this way can be used again and again by our partner as a standardized automation solution template.

The entire commissioning of the application takes place via a web-based user interface. Here, the user can set all parameters and make further configurations of the application.
