Kaiserslautern University of Technology: New Building Automation System

OAS provides digital and open building automation systems at the Technical University of Kaiserslautern. The building management systems are gradually being renewed with Niagara Framework® technology. One of their clients is the Landesbetrieb Liegenschafts- und Baubetreuung (LBB), the real estate and construction service provider of state building construction in Rhineland-Palatinate. It places high demands on building automation through the Working Group for Mechanical and Electrical Engineering of State and Municipal Administrations (AMEV). The AMEV has developed a recognised certification for BACnet-capable GA components that goes beyond the conformity requirements of the BACnet Testing Labs (BTL). Equipped with AMEV attestation and a BTL certificate, the OAS supplies the BACnet JACE-8000 controller as automation platform. As a Tridium distributor, the OAS is providing JACE-8000, the top seller from the modular Niagara program, to the PGA Gesellschaft für Prozess- und Gebäudeautomatisierungstechnik, which – with its twenty years of experience – provides system integration. In this way, the OAS, hand in hand with the PGA, is ensuring the Kaiserlautern university buildings and facilities are prepared for an open systems future.
